My father is Sulayman bin Abdul-Rahman, the one from whom Shuba and Layth bin Saad narrated, on the authority of Qasim, the freed slave of Muawiya, who said, "I entered the mosque of Damascus and saw people gathered around an elderly man who was narrating to them.I asked, 'Who is this?'They replied, 'Sahl bin al-Hanzaliyyah.'So I heard him say, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, Whoever eats meat should perform ablution.'"
