Dukain bin Saeed reported,

We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a company of forty riders along with four hundred others, asking him for food. He said to Umar, "Go and give them something."Umar replied, "Messenger of Allah, there is nothing left except a few measures of dates, hardly enough to last me through the summer."He said, "Go and give them."Umar said, "I hear and obey."Umar then took out the key from his waistband and opened the door, and there before him was a heap of dates resembling a young camel crouching down. He said, "Take." Each one of us took as much as he wished. Then I looked back, and I was among the last of the group, and it was as though we had not taken a single date.
