A boy came to the Prophet ﷺ. Musa, in his version, said that a man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "Messenger of Allah, my mother has died and left behind some jewelry. Shall I give it in charity on her behalf?"He asked, "Did your mother instruct you to do that?"The man replied, "No."He said, "Then keep your mother's jewelry for yourself."Abu Abdul-Rahman, meaning al-Muqri, narrated it to us.
حدثنا إسحاق بن عيسى وموسى بن داود قالا حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن أبي الخير
أن غلاما أتى النبي ﷺ وقال موسى في حديثه سأل رجل رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن أمي ماتت وتركت حليا أفأتصدق به عنها قال أمك أمرتك بذلك قال لا قال فأمسك عليك حلي أمك حدثناه أبو عبد الرحمن يعني المقرئ
