Rafi bin Khadij reported,

I said, "Messenger of Allah, we will meet the enemy tomorrow and we have no knives with us."He replied, "Whatever causes the blood to flow, and the name of Allah has been mentioned over it, you may eat, except for tooth and nail. I will tell you why. As for the tooth, it is a bone, and as for the nail, it is the knife of the Abyssinians."The narrator said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ obtained some spoils, and a camel from them ran away. The men chased after it but could not catch it, so one man shot it with an arrow and brought it down. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "These camels," or he said, "these animals, have wild streaks like wild beasts. Whichever of them gets the better of you, deal with it in this way."
