The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever leaves behind dependents who cannot support themselves, they are the responsibility of Allah and His Messenger." Sometimes he said, "then they are our responsibility." He continued, "And whoever leaves behind wealth, it goes to his heir. The maternal uncle is the heir of one who has no heir, and I am the heir of one who has no heir. I inherit from him and I pay the blood money on his behalf."
