We went on a military expedition with Ruwayfi bin Thabit al-Ansari to a village in the Maghreb called Jarba. He stood up to address us and said, "People, I will only tell you what I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. He stood among us on the Day of Hunayn and said, 'It is not lawful for a man who believes in Allah and the Last Day to water another man's crop with his own water,' meaning to have intercourse with pregnant captive women.'Nor is it lawful for him to have intercourse with a non-virgin captive woman until he has verified she is not pregnant,' meaning after he has purchased her.'Nor is it lawful for him to sell any of the spoils of war until they have been distributed.Nor is it lawful for him to ride an animal from the spoils of the Muslims until, when he has worn it out, he returns it to the spoils.Nor is it lawful for him to wear a garment from the spoils of the Muslims until, when he has worn it out, he returns it to the spoils.'"
حدثنا يعقوب قال حدثنا أبي عن ابن إسحاق قال حدثني يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن أبي مرزوق مولى تجيب
غزونا مع رويفع بن ثابت الأنصاري قرية من قرى المغرب يقال لها جربة فقام فينا خطيبا فقال أيها الناس إني لا أقول فيكم إلا ما سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول قام فينا يوم حنين فقال لا يحل لامرئ يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر أن يسقي ماءه زرع غيره يعني إتيان الحبالى من السبايا وأن يصيب امرأة ثيبا من السبي حتى يستبرئها يعني إذا اشتراها وأن يبيع مغنما حتى يقسم وأن يركب دابة من فيء المسلمين حتى إذا أعجفها ردها فيه وأن يلبس ثوبا من فيء المسلمين حتى إذا أخلقه رده فيه
