The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever washes himself and bathes, sets out early and arrives early, draws near, listens attentively, and does not engage in idle talk, will receive for every step he takes the reward of a year's fasting and night prayer."
قال حسين بن علي الجعفي حدثنا به عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن جابر عن أبي الأشعث الصنعاني
قال رسول الله ﷺ من غسل واغتسل وغدا وابتكر فدنا وأنصت ولم يلغ كان له بكل خطوة كأجر سنة صيامها وقيامها
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abu Ashath Sanani is Shurahbil bin Aadah, one of the trustworthy successors, and his hadith is found in Kutub al-Sittah [al-Jamaah]. The hadith has already appeared at 16118.
