I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ making his way through the people on the day of Hunayn asking about the lodging of Khalid bin Walid. A drunken man was brought to him, so he ordered those who were with him to strike him with whatever they had in their hands.
قال حدثنا زيد بن الحباب قال حدثني أسامة بن زيد قال حدثني الزهري
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يتخلل الناس يوم حنين يسأل عن منزل خالد بن الوليد فأتي بسكران فأمر من كان معه أن يضربوه بما كان في أيديهم
