The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Were it not that dogs form a community among the communities, I would have ordered them to be killed. So kill the pure black ones among them. Any people who keep a dog that is not a dog used for farming, hunting, or guarding livestock will have a qirat deducted from their reward each day."He said, "We were instructed to pray in the resting places of sheep but not in the resting places of camels, for they were created from devils."
قال حدثنا إسماعيل قال أخبرنا يونس عن الحسن
قال رسول الله ﷺ لولا أن الكلاب أمة من الأمم لأمرت بقتلها فاقتلوا منها الأسود البهيم وأيما قوم اتخذوا كلبا ليس بكلب حرث أو صيد أو ماشية نقصوا من أجورهم كل يوم قيراطا قال وكنا نؤمر أن نصلي في مرابض الغنم ولا نصلي في أعطان الإبل فإنها خلقت من الشياطين
Its isnad is sahih, and all its narrators are famous imams. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud 2849, in the chapter on hunting, keeping a dog, and Tirmidhi 1486, who said, hasan sahih, and Nasai 7/158, and Ibn Majah 3205, and Darimi 2/125, number 2008.
