I asked, "Messenger of Allah, when were you made a prophet?"He replied, "When Adam was between the spirit and the body."
قال حدثنا سريج بن النعمان قال حدثنا حماد عن خالد الحذاء عن عبد الله بن شقيق
قلت يا رسول الله متى جعلت نبيا قال وآدم بين الروح والجسد
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Its narrators are famous, leading figures. It is found in Tirmidhi 5/585, number 3629, in the Book of Virtues, on the merits of the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, hasan sahih gharib.It is regrettable that we find some who claim knowledge weakening this hadith. We do not know why they weaken every hadith related to the merits of the Prophet ﷺ, as if they dislike him, and we seek refuge in Allah Most High from that.
