I came to the Prophet ﷺ to speak with him about some captives of ours who had been taken during the time of ignorance. There he was, seated, with a circle of people gathered around him as he spoke to them. He was wearing a thick striped waist-wrapper.I heard him say, while pointing with his finger, "The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim. He does not wrong him, nor does he forsake him. Piety is here. Piety is here," meaning in the heart.
قال حدثنا أبو النضر قال حدثنا المبارك قال حدثنا الحسن أن
أتيت النبي ﷺ أكلمه في سبي أصيب لنا في الجاهلية فإذا هو قاعد وعليه حلقة قد أطافت به وهو يحدث القوم عليه إزار قطر له غليظ قال سمعته يقول وهو يشير بإصبعه المسلم أخو المسلم لا يظلمه ولا يخذله التقوى هاهنا التقوى هاهنا يقول أي في القلب
