I heard some men from among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ discussing that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a slave-woman is freed while she is married to a slave, the matter is in her own hands. If she allows him to have intercourse with her after that, she remains his wife and cannot then seek separation from him."

سمعت رجالا من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ يتحدثون أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا أعتقت الأمة وهي تحت العبد فأمرها بيدها فإن هي أقرت حتى يطأها فهي امرأته لا تستطيع فراقه
