A man reported,

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the market of Dhul Majaz making his way through the crowd, saying, "People, say there is no god but Allah and you will succeed."Abu Jahl was throwing dust at him and saying, "People, do not let this man deceive you away from your religion. He only wants you to abandon your gods and to forsake al-Lat and al-Uzza."But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ paid him no attention.We said, "Describe the Messenger of Allah for us."He said, "He was wearing two red garments, of medium height, well-built, handsome of face, with intensely black hair, fair-skinned with a striking whiteness, and full, flowing hair."

قال حدثنا أبو النضر قال حدثنا شيبان عن أشعث قال حدثني

شيخ من بني مالك بن كنانة قال

رأيت رسول الله ﷺ بسوق ذي المجاز يتخللها يقول يا أيها الناس قولوا لا إله إلا الله تفلحوا قال وأبو جهل يحثي عليه التراب ويقول يا أيها الناس لا يغرنكم هذا عن دينكم فإنما يريد لتتركوا آلهتكم وتتركوا اللات والعزى قال وما يلتفت إليه رسول الله ﷺ قال قلنا انعت لنا رسول الله قال بين بردين أحمرين مربوع كثير اللحم حسن الوجه شديد سواد الشعر أبيض شديد البياض سابغ الشعر
