The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was fasting during a journey in the year of the Conquest, and he ordered his companions to break their fast, saying, "You are about to meet your enemy, so strengthen yourselves."Someone said, "Messenger of Allah, the people have continued fasting because you are fasting."When he reached al-Kadid, he broke his fast.The one who narrated this to me said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pouring water over his head because of the heat while he was fasting."
قال حدثنا عثمان بن عمر قال أخبرنا مالك بن أنس عن سمي عن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث
أن رسول الله ﷺ صام في سفر عام الفتح وأمر أصحابه بالإفطار وقال إنكم تلقون عدوا لكم فتقووا فقيل يا رسول الله إن الناس قد صاموا لصيامك فلما أتى الكديد أفطر قال الذي حدثني فلقد رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصب الماء على رأسه من الحر وهو صائم
