I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Charity is not lawful for a wealthy person, nor for one who is strong and able-bodied."
حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن عبد الله بن يزيد قال حدثنا عكرمة قال حدثنا أبو زميل سماك قال حدثني
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تصلح الصدقة لغني ولا لذي مرة سوي
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Zumayl Simak bin Walid Hanafi Yamami is trustworthy, and Muslim narrated from him. The hadith is in the Sunan collections, and it has already appeared from the hadith of Abu Hurairah at 9038.
