I used to spend the night at the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to bring him his water for ablution. After a long part of the night had passed, I would hear him say, "Allah hears whoever praises Him," and after another long stretch of the night, I would hear him say, "All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds."

كنت أبيت عند باب رسول الله ﷺ أعطيه وضوءه فأسمعه بعد هوي من الليل يقول سمع الله لمن حمده والهوي من الليل يقول الحمد لله رب العالمين
