The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in Mecca with Zayd bin Haritha when Zayd bin Amr bin Nufayl passed by them. They invited him to share their meal, but he said, "Nephew, I do not eat from what has been slaughtered for idols."After that, the Prophet ﷺ was never seen eating anything that had been slaughtered for idols. The narrator said, I said, "Messenger of Allah, my father was as you have seen and as has reached you. Had he lived to meet you, he would have believed in you and followed you. So ask forgiveness for him."He replied, "Yes, I will ask forgiveness for him, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection as a nation by himself."
