Marwan said to us, "Go and settle the dispute between these two, Saeed bin Zayd and Arwa bint Uways."So we went to Saeed bin Zayd, and he said, "Do you think I have taken anything from her rightful share? I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever seizes a hand's span of land unjustly will have it hung around his neck from seven earths. Whoever attaches himself as a client to a people without their permission, upon him is the curse of Allah. And whoever takes his brother's wealth by a false oath, may Allah grant him no blessing in it.'"
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن
قال لنا مروان انطلقوا فأصلحوا بين هذين سعيد بن زيد وأروى بنت أويس فأتينا سعيد بن زيد فقال أترون أني قد استنقصت من حقها شيئا أشهد لسمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من أخذ شبرا من الأرض بغير حقه طوقه من سبع أرضين ومن تولى قوما بغير إذنهم فعليه لعنة الله ومن اقتطع مال أخيه بيمينه فلا بارك الله له فيه
