Amr bin Yahya is Ibn Umara bin Abu Hasan al-Mazini, and he and his father are both trustworthy, their hadith being found among the major collectors, and they recur frequently in the Musnad of Jabir. The hadith, with similar wording, was narrated by Bukhari 2/32, in the chapter on Witr, section on Witr while traveling, by Muslim 1/487, no. 700, in the chapter on Prayer, section on the permissibility of voluntary prayer on a mount while traveling, by Abu Dawud 2/9, no. 1226, and by Malik 1/151-153, all of them narrating from Ibn Umar.
