A man from Banu Tamim, who was old in the time of Uthman, related from his father that he met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, write me a document stating that I will not be held accountable for the wrongdoing of another."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "That is your right, and the right of every Muslim."

Its isnad is daif due to the anonymity of the narrator from the companion. Haythami mentioned it in 6/283 and said, "It contains a man who is not named, and the rest of its men are the men of sahih."
