A man reported,

He prayed the dawn prayer with the Prophet ﷺ, who recited Surah ar-Rum but stumbled over a verse. When he finished, he said, "The Quran has become confusing for us because there are people among you who pray with us without performing ablution properly. Whoever attends the prayer with us, let him perform ablution well."

حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا أبو سعيد مولى بني هاشم حدثنا زائدة حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمير قال سمعت شبيبا أبا روح من ذي الكلاع

أنه صلى مع النبي ﷺ الصبح فقرأ بالروم فتردد في آية فلما انصرف قال إنه يلبس علينا القرآن أن أقواما منكم يصلون معنا لا يحسنون الوضوء فمن شهد الصلاة معنا فليحسن الوضوء
