The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The earnings of the cupper are foul, the wages of the prostitute are foul, and the price of a dog is foul."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا أبان قال حدثنا يحيى بن أبي كثير عن إبراهيم بن قارظ عن السائب بن يزيد
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال كسب الحجام خبيث ومهر البغي خبيث وثمن الكلب خبيث
Its isnad is sahih. Ibrahim bin Qariz is named after his grandfather, and he is Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Qariz, as Bukhari and others said, the Qurashi. They deemed him reliable, and he has a narration in the Two Sahihs.The hadith appears in Muslim, 3/1199, no. 1568m, in the Book of Musaqah, on the prohibition of the price of a dog, and in Abu Dawud, 3/266, no. 3421, in the Book of Hire, on the earnings of a cupper, and in Tirmidhi, 3/565, no. 1275, in the Book of Sales, on what has been said concerning the price of a dog, and in Darimi, 2/351, no. 2621, and in Hakim, 2/452, where Dhahabi agreed with him, and in Bayhaqi, 6/6, and Munziri attributed it accordingly.
