The Prophet ﷺ passed by him while he was holding onto a man over a debt of two ounces. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, gesturing, meaning that he should reduce half of it.The man said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."So the Prophet ﷺ said to the other man, "Pay him what remains of his right."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا زمعة عن الزهري
أن النبي ﷺ مر به وهو ملازم رجلا في أوقيتين فقال النبي ﷺ للرجل هكذا أي ضع عنه الشطر قال الرجل نعم يا رسول الله فقال النبي ﷺ للرجل أد إليه ما بقي من حقه
