A slave girl belonging to Kaab was tending his sheep at Sala when a wolf attacked one of them. The shepherdess reached it and slaughtered it with a sharp stone. Kaab bin Malik asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, and he instructed him to eat it.

أن جارية لكعب كانت ترعى غنما له بسلع فعدا الذئب على شاة من شائها فأدركتها الراعية فذكتها بمروة فسأل كعب بن مالك النبي ﷺ فأمره بأكلها
