Its isnad is sahih, through both of its routes. Abdul-Rahman bin Saad is al-Madani, the freedman of Aswad bin Sufyan, considered reliable by them. Nasai, Ibn Hibban, and others deemed him reliable, and his hadith appears in Muslim, both in wording and isnad, 3/1605, no. 1032, in the Book of Drinks, on licking the fingers. As for Ibn Kaab, he is either Abdul-Rahman or Abdullah, as given in Muslim, and both are among the reliable Followers. The hadith has already been given in similar form at 14022.
