The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever begins his morning with seven Ajwa dates will not be harmed that day by poison or magic."
حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا هاشم عن عائشة بنت سعد
قال رسول الله ﷺ من تصبح بسبع تمرات من عجوة لم يضره ذلك اليوم سم ولا سحر
Its isnad is sahih. Hashim is Hashim bin Hashim bin Hashim bin Utbah bin Abu Waqqas, and he is trustworthy. Some have said Hashim bin Hashim bin Utbah, but this is not correct, for Hashim bin Utbah was killed at Siffin in the year 37, while this Hashim died in the year 147 or after, so it is not possible for him to be his son, rather he is his grandson. Bukhari likewise mentioned his lineage in al-Kabir, 4/2/233–234. The hadith is an abridgment of 1528.
