I agreed with my Lord on three matters.I said, "Messenger of Allah, what if we took the station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer?" Then the verse was revealed, "And take the station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer" [Baqarah 2:125].I said, "Messenger of Allah, both the righteous and the wicked enter upon your wives. What if you commanded them to veil themselves?" Then the verse of the veil was revealed.The wives of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ once joined together against him out of jealousy, so I said to them, "Perhaps his Lord, if he divorces you, will give him in exchange wives better than you" [Tahrim 66:5]. And so the verse was revealed in those very words.
حدثنا هشيم أنبأنا حميد عن أنس قال
وافقت ربي في ثلاث قلت يا رسول الله لو اتخذنا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى فنزلت {واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى} وقلت يا رسول الله إن نساءك يدخل عليهن البر والفاجر فلو أمرتهن أن يحتجبن فنزلت آية الحجاب واجتمع على رسول الله ﷺ نساؤه في الغيرة فقلت لهن {عسى ربه إن طلقكن أن يبدله أزواجا خيرا منكن} قال فنزلت كذلك
