Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Umar bin Khattab delivered a sermon, and Hushaym once said, "He delivered a sermon to us." He praised Allah the Exalted and glorified Him, then he mentioned the matter of stoning and said, "Do not be deceived about it, for it is one of the prescribed punishments of Allah the Exalted. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ carried out stoning, and we carried it out after him. Were it not that people might say, 'Umar has added to the Book of Allah what is not part of it,' I would have written it in a section of the Mushaf.Umar bin Khattab bears witness," and Hushaym once said, "and Abdul-Rahman bin Awf, and so-and-so, and so-and-so, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ carried out stoning, and we carried it out after him. Indeed, there will come after you a people who will deny stoning, who will deny the Dajjal, who will deny intercession, who will deny the punishment of the grave, and who will deny that a people will be brought out of the Fire after they have been scorched."

حدثنا هشيم أنبأنا علي بن زيد عن يوسف بن مهران

عن ابن عباس قال

خطب عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه وقال هشيم مرة خطبنا فحمد الله تعالى وأثنى عليه فذكر الرجم فقال لا تخدعن عنه فإنه حد من حدود الله تعالى ألا إن رسول الله ﷺ قد رجم ورجمنا بعده ولولا أن يقول قائلون زاد عمر في كتاب الله ما ليس منه لكتبته في ناحية من المصحف شهد عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه وقال هشيم مرة وعبد الرحمن بن عوف وفلان وفلان أن رسول الله ﷺ قد رجم ورجمنا من بعده ألا وإنه سيكون من بعدكم قوم يكذبون بالرجم وبالدجال وبالشفاعة وبعذاب القبر وبقوم يخرجون من النار بعدما امتحشوا
