The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is incumbent upon anyone who comes up to a gathering to greet them with salam, and it is incumbent upon anyone who departs from a gathering to bid them salam."A man stood up to leave while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was speaking and did not give the salam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked, "How quickly he has forgotten."
حدثنا حسن حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا زبان
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال حق على من قام على مجلس أن يسلم عليهم وحق على من قام من مجلس أن يسلم فقام رجل ورسول الله ﷺ يتكلم فلم يسلم فقال رسول الله ﷺ ما أسرع ما نسي
