Muaz bin Anas reported,

A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Which kind of jihad brings the greatest reward?"He replied, "The one who remembers Allah the most."The man asked, "And which of those who fast earns the greatest reward?"He replied, "The one who remembers Allah the most."Then prayer, zakat, hajj, and charity were mentioned to us, and about each of them the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who remembers Allah the most."Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said to Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, "Abu Hafs, those who remember Allah have taken away every good."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed."

عن رسول الله ﷺ أن رجلا سأله فقال أي الجهاد أعظم أجرا قال أكثرهم لله تبارك وتعالى ذكرا قال فأي الصائمين أعظم أجرا قال أكثرهم لله تبارك وتعالى ذكرا ثم ذكر لنا الصلاة والزكاة والحج والصدقة كل ذلك رسول الله ﷺ يقول أكثرهم لله تبارك وتعالى ذكرا فقال أبو بكر رضي الله تعالى عنه لعمر رضي الله تعالى عنه يا أبا حفص ذهب الذاكرون بكل خير فقال رسول الله ﷺ أجل
