The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the dawn prayer in Mecca and began reciting Surat al-Muminun. When he reached the mention of Musa and Harun, or the mention of Isa (Muhammad bin Abbad, the narrator from Rawh, was uncertain, and the narrators differed about this), the Prophet ﷺ was overcome by a fit of coughing, so he cut the recitation short and bowed. Abdullah bin Saaib was present at that time.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق وروح قالا أخبرنا ابن جريج قال سمعت محمد بن عباد بن جعفر قال أخبرني أبو سلمة بن سفيان وعبد الله بن عمرو قال روح ابن العاص وعبد الله بن المسيب العابدي
صلى بنا رسول الله ﷺ الصبح بمكة فاستفتح سورة المؤمنين حتى إذا جاء ذكر موسى وهارون أو ذكر عيسى قال روح محمد بن عباد يشك واختلفوا عليه أخذت النبي ﷺ سعلة فحذف فركع قال وعبد الله بن السائب حاضر ذلك
