The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered one of the gardens of Madinah and sat on the edge of the well. Abu Bakr came seeking permission to enter, so he said, "Admit him and give him the glad tidings of Paradise."Then Umar came seeking permission, and he said, "Admit him and give him the glad tidings of Paradise."Then Uthman came seeking permission, and he said, "Admit him and give him the glad tidings of Paradise, along with a trial that will befall him."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا وهيب حدثني موسى بن عقبة قال سمعت أبا سلمة يحدث ولا أعلمه إلا
أن رسول الله ﷺ دخل حائطا من حوائط المدينة فجلس على قف البئر فجاء أبو بكر يستأذن فقال ائذن له وبشره بالجنة ثم جاء عمر يستأذن فقال ائذن له وبشره بالجنة ثم جاء عثمان يستأذن فقال ائذن له وبشره بالجنة وسيلقى بلاء
