He reported from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he intended to set out on a military expedition, so he said, "Company of Muhajirun and Ansar, among your brothers are men who have neither wealth nor kin. Let each of you take in two or three men, and none of us shall have any greater turn riding his camel than the turn of one of them."He said, "So I took in two or three men, and I had no greater turn riding my camel than the turn of one of them."
Its isnad is sahih. The hadith is found in Hakim 2/90, who graded it sahih, and Dhahabi agreed with him. It is also found in Bayhaqi, narrating from him, 9/172, in the chapter on military expeditions, on the merit of spending in the cause of Allah.
