My eyes saw and my ears heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Jiranah. There was silver in Bilal's garment, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taking handfuls of it and giving it out to the people.A man said, "Be just."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Woe to you. Who would be just if I am not just?"Umar bin Khattab said, "Messenger of Allah, let me kill this wicked hypocrite."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah forbid that people should say I kill my own companions. This man and his companions recite the Quran, but it does not pass beyond their throats. They pass out of the religion as an arrow passes through its target."
حدثنا علي بن عياش حدثنا إسماعيل بن عياش حدثني يحيى بن سعيد أخبرني أبو الزبير قال سمعت
بصر عيني وسمع أذني رسول الله ﷺ بالجعرانة وفي ثوب بلال فضة ورسول الله ﷺ يقبضها للناس يعطيهم فقال رجل اعدل قال ويلك ومن يعدل إذا لم أكن أعدل قال عمر بن الخطاب يا رسول الله دعني أقتل هذا المنافق الخبيث فقال رسول الله ﷺ معاذ الله أن يتحدث الناس أني أقتل أصحابي إن هذا وأصحابه يقرءون القرآن لا يجاوز تراقيهم يمرقون من الدين كما يمرق السهم من الرمية
