A man came to the Prophet ﷺ asking for food, so he gave him half a wasq of barley. The man, his wife, and a servant of theirs kept eating from it until they measured it. The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Had you not measured it, you would have continued eating from it, and it would have lasted you."
حدثنا موسى حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن أبي الزبير
عن النبي ﷺ أنه أتاه رجل يستطعمه فأطعمه شطر وسق شعير فما زال الرجل يأكل منه هو وامرأته ووصيف لهم حتى كالوه فقال النبي ﷺ لو لم تكيلوه لأكلتم منه ولقام لكم
