I heard my father say, "I never heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say of any living person walking on earth that he was in Paradise, except for Abdullah bin Salam."
حدثنا إسحاق بن عيسى حدثني مالك يعني ابن أنس عن سالم أبي النضر
سمعت أبي يقول ما سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لحي من الناس يمشي إنه في الجنة إلا لعبد الله بن سلام
Its chain of transmission is sahih, and it is not found in Muwatta. Bukhari and Muslim also narrated it, as noted in Dhakhair Mawarith 2130. Salam is pronounced with a light lam. Abdullah bin Salam bin Harith the Israelite was a companion, and his account of transmission will come later, 5:450–453. Hafiz referred to this narration in Fath al-Bari 7:97 twice, attributing it to Daraqutni alone, as though he had not seen it in the Musnad. See also 1458.
