Its isnad is sahih. It is an abridgment of the story of Abdullah bin Umar with him, when he informed him of that, and that Abdullah asked his father about it and he confirmed it, as has passed at 87, 88, 237, and as will come in the hadith of Ibn Abbas at 3462.Bukhari related the hadith at 1:264-265 through the route of Ibn Wahb, from Amr bin Harith, from Abu Nadr, from Abu Salama, from Abdullah bin Umar, from Saad, at length, like the previous narration at 88. Then he said, Musa bin Uqba said, Abu Nadr informed me that Abu Salama informed him that Saad had told him, and Umar said to Abdullah, similarly. So this suspended chain is this very isnad found here, and it shows that Abu Salama heard the hadith from Saad just as he heard it from Abdullah bin Umar.It appears that Ibn Hajar was not aware of this isnad in the Musnad, and that is why he traced the suspended isnad in Bukhari back to the Mustakhraj of Ismaili.
