The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade incantations. Ibn Numayr added in his narration, "My maternal uncle, who used to recite incantations against scorpion stings, came to him." The family of Amr bin Hazm came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, we have an incantation we used to recite against scorpion stings, but you have forbidden incantations."They presented it to him, and he said, "I see no harm in it. Whoever among you is able to benefit his brother, let him do so."
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش ح وابن نمير عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الرقى قال ابن نمير في حديثه فأتاه خالي وكان يرقي من العقرب قال فجاء آل عمرو بن حزم إلى النبي ﷺ فقالوا يا رسول الله إنه قد كانت عندنا رقية نرقي بها من العقرب وإنك نهيت عن الرقى قال فعرضوها عليه فقال ما أرى بأسا من استطاع منكم أن ينفع أخاه فلينفعه
