A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, last night I saw in a dream that my neck was struck and my head fell off. I chased after it, picked it up, and put it back in its place."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "When Satan toys with one of you in a dream, do not tell people about it."
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Muslim 4/1777, no. 2268, in the book of dreams, "he should not tell of the devil's playing with him." Also in Ibn Majah 3912, in the book of the interpretation of dreams, "with whom the devil has played," and in Baghawi's Sharh al-Sunnah 12/212, who attributed it to Muslim.
