A boy was born to one of our men, and he named him Qasim. We said to him, "We will not call you Abu al-Qasim by this kunya, nor will we give you that pleasure."So he went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Name your son Abdul-Rahman."

ولد لرجل منا غلام فأسماه القاسم فقلنا لا نكنيك أبا القاسم ولا ننعمك عينا فأتى النبي ﷺ فذكر ذلك له فقال أسم ابنك عبد الرحمن
