Jabir bin Abdullah reported,
We used to perform tamattu during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr and Umar 
, until Umar 
later forbade us, meaning the mutah marriage with women.

Ahmad Shakir
Its chain of transmission is sahih. It has already appeared at 11108, and it has already been established that the Prophet ﷺ prohibited mutah until the Day of Resurrection, so this hadith is abrogated. The prohibition did not come from Umar alone.
