Umm Ata reported,

By Allah, it is as if we are still watching Zubayr bin Awwam when he came to us on his white mule and said, "Umm Ata, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has forbidden the Muslims from eating the meat of their sacrifices for more than three days."I said, "May my father be your ransom, what should we do with what has been gifted to us?"He replied, "As for what has been gifted to you, you may do with it as you wish."

حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن محمد بن إسحاق حدثني عبد الله بن عطاء بن إبراهيم مولى الزبير

عن أمه وجدته أم عطاء قالتا

والله لكأننا ننظر إلى الزبير بن العوام رضي الله عنه حين أتانا على بغلة له بيضاء فقال يا أم عطاء إن رسول الله ﷺ قد نهى المسلمين أن يأكلوا من لحوم نسكهم فوق ثلاث قال فقلت بأبي أنت فكيف نصنع بما أهدي لنا فقال أما ما أهدي لكن فشأنكن به
