The Prophet ﷺ said regarding those killed at Uhud, "Do not wash them, for every wound or every drop of blood will give off the fragrance of musk on the Day of Resurrection." And he did not perform the funeral prayer over them.

Its isnad is sahih. Abd Rabbih is Ibn Saeed Ansari. The majority of scholars held the view that the martyr is not washed. It was narrated with a different wording by Bukhari, who commanded that they be buried with their blood without being washed, 1/337, Shaab edition, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on lahd and shaq, and by Abu Dawud, 3/192, no. 3138, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on whether the martyr is washed, and by Ibn Majah, 1/480, no. 1514, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on the prayer over martyrs and their burial.
