While he was performing tawaf around the Kaaba, he was asked, "Did you hear the Prophet ﷺ forbid fasting on Friday?"He replied, "Yes, by the Lord of this House."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني عبد الحميد بن جبير أنه أخبره محمد بن عباد بن جعفر أنه سمع
وهو يطوف بالبيت أسمعت النبي ﷺ ينهى عن صيام يوم الجمعة قال نعم ورب هذا البيت
Its isnad is sahih, and something similar to it is found in Muslim 3/1676, no. 2122, in the Book of Clothing, chapter on what was said regarding adding hair extensions, and likewise in Bukhari 10/374, no. 5933, Fath al-Bari, and Tirmidhi 4/207, no. 1759, where he said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Majah 1/639, no. 1988.
