I came to the Prophet ﷺ when a tailor from the people of Medina had invited him for a meal. The food was barley bread and rancid fat, and there were pieces of pumpkin in it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was fond of pumpkin, so I began placing the pieces in front of him.Anas said, "I have loved pumpkin ever since I saw that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved it."
حدثنا بهز حدثنا همام حدثنا قتادة
أتيت النبي ﷺ وقد دعاه خياط من أهل المدينة فإذا خبز شعير وإهالة سنخة قال فإذا فيها قرع قال وكان رسول الله ﷺ يعجبه القرع قال فجعلت أقربه قدام رسول الله ﷺ قال أنس لم أزل يعجبني القرع منذ رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يعجبه
