A group from the tribe of Urayna came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "We have found the climate of Madinah unhealthy. Our bellies have become swollen and our limbs have grown weak."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed them to join the camel herder and drink from the camels' milk and urine. So they joined the camel herder and drank from their milk and urine until their bellies returned to normal and their color was restored. Then they killed the herder and drove off the camels.News of this reached the Prophet ﷺ, who sent men in pursuit of them. They were brought back, and he had their hands and feet cut off and their eyes branded with hot iron.Qatada reported from Muhammad bin Sirin that this took place before the prescribed punishments were revealed.
حدثنا بهز وحدثنا عفان قالا حدثنا همام قال عفان في حديثه أخبرنا قتادة قال حدثنا أنس بن مالك وقال بهز
أن رهطا من عرينة أتوا رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا إنا قد اجتوينا المدينة فعظمت بطوننا وانتهشت أعضاؤنا فأمرهم رسول الله ﷺ أن يلحقوا براعي الإبل فيشربوا من ألبانها وأبوالها قال فلحقوا براعي الإبل فشربوا من ألبانها وأبوالها حتى صلحت بطونهم وألوانهم ثم قتلوا الراعي وساقوا الإبل فبلغ ذلك النبي ﷺ فبعث في طلبهم فجيء بهم فقطع أيديهم وأرجلهم وسمر أعينهم قال قتادة عن محمد بن سيرين إنما كان هذا قبل أن تنزل الحدود
