Amr Dhi Murr reported,

We saw Ali perform ablution. He washed his hands, rinsed his mouth, and sniffed water into his nose. The narrator said, "I am uncertain whether he mentioned doing the rinsing of the mouth and nose three times or not." He washed his face three times, and washed each of his arms three times, and wiped over his head and ears.One of the two narrators said, "Then he scooped up a handful of water and wiped his head with it."Then he stood and drank what remained of his ablution water, and said, "This is how the Prophet ﷺ used to perform ablution."End of the Musnad of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali .

حدثنا عبد الله حدثني سفيان بن وكيع بن الجراح حدثنا أبي عن أبيه عن أبي إسحاق عن أبي حية الوادعي

عن عمرو ذي مر قال

أبصرنا عليا رضي الله عنه توضأ فغسل يديه ومضمض واستنشق قال وأنا أشك في المضمضة والاستنشاق ثلاثا ذكرها أم لا وغسل وجهه ثلاثا ويديه ثلاثا كل واحدة منهما ثلاثا ومسح برأسه وأذنيه قال أحدهما ثم أخذ غرفة فمسح بها رأسه ثم قام فشرب فضل وضوئه ثم قال هكذا كان النبي ﷺ يتوضأ آخر مسند أمير المؤمنين علي رضي الله عنه
