Its chain is daif due to a break in transmission.Waki bin Jarra bin Mulayh Ruwasi is a trustworthy imam and hafiz. Ahmad said, "I have not seen anyone more retentive of knowledge than Waki, nor more precise in memory than him." Many hadiths from him have already passed, but we had not given his biography, so we give it here.Nafi bin Umar has already been mentioned in 59.Abdul-Jabbar bin Wahb bin Aghar bin Ward Makki is trustworthy. Ahmad, Ibn Main, and others affirmed his reliability.Ibn Abu Mulayka is Abdullah bin Ubaydullah bin Abu Mulayka, a trustworthy successor, as we said in 59 and 898, but he did not live to meet Talha bin Ubaydullah, though the Hafiz did not state this definitively in Tahdhib. He said, "It is also said that he did not hear from him." But Talha was killed on the day of the Battle of the Camel in the year 36, and Ibn Abu Mulayka died in the year 117, as Ibn Saad affirmed definitively in 5:347–348, and Bukhari in his Saghir 131. So between their two deaths there are 81 years.Abdullah, his father, and his mother, he is Abdullah bin Amr bin As, and his mother was Rayta bint Munabbih bin Hajjaj bin Amir Sahmiyyah, who accepted Islam and gave her pledge.
