The time for prayer arrived, so those whose homes were near the mosque got up to perform ablution, while around seventy to eighty men remained, as their homes were far away. The Prophet ﷺ called for a basin containing some water, though it was not full. He placed his fingers in it and began pouring the water over their hands, saying, "Perform ablution." They all completed their ablution, and the water remaining in the basin was about the same as it had been, even though they numbered between seventy and a hundred.

حضرت الصلاة فقام جيران المسجد يتوضئون وبقي ما بين السبعين والثمانين وكانت منازلهم بعيدة فدعا النبي ﷺ بمخضب فيه ماء ما هو بملآن فوضع أصابعه فيه وجعل يصب عليهم ويقول توضئوا حتى توضئوا كلهم وبقي في المخضب نحو ما كان فيه وهم نحو السبعين إلى المائة
