The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Umm Haram, and we brought him dates and ghee. He said, "Put this back in its container and this back in its skin, for I am fasting."Then he stood and led us in two voluntary units of prayer. He had Umm Haram and Umm Sulaym stand behind us, and he placed me on his right side, as Thabit recalls. He led us in voluntary prayer upon a mat.When he finished his prayer, Umm Sulaym said, "I have a small request. Your little servant Anas, supplicate to Allah for him." He left out nothing of the goodness of this world or the next without supplicating it for me. Then he said, "O Allah, increase his wealth and children, and bless him in them."Anas said, "My daughter informed me that I have buried more than ninety of my own offspring, and there is no man among the Ansar with more wealth than I have."Then Anas said, "Thabit, I own neither gold nor silver, except for my ring."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد أخبرنا ثابت
أن رسول الله ﷺ أتى أم حرام فأتيناه بتمر وسمن فقال ردوا هذا في وعائه وهذا في سقائه فإني صائم قال ثم قام فصلى بنا ركعتين تطوعا فأقام أم حرام وأم سليم خلفنا وأقامني عن يمينه فيما يحسب ثابت قال فصلى بنا تطوعا على بساط فلما قضى صلاته قالت أم سليم إن لي خويصة خويدمك أنس ادع الله له فما ترك يومئذ خيرا من خير الدنيا ولا الآخرة إلا دعا لي به ثم قال اللهم أكثر ماله وولده وبارك له فيه قال أنس فأخبرتني ابنتي أني قد دفنت من صلبي بضعا وتسعين وما أصبح في الأنصار رجل أكثر مني مالا ثم قال أنس يا ثابت ما أملك صفراء ولا بيضاء إلا خاتمي
